When Alessandro Michele started designing for Gucci, up went the embellishment levels and down went the makeup application. His first season, makeup artist Pat McGrath barely used concealer let alone something colorful. But slowly, season after season, Michele began bringing beauty back. For his fall 2016 show, he let McGrath break out blush and Paul Hanlon experiment with finger waves and braids, and today, at his resort show at Westminster Abbey, Michele gave his backstage beauty team permission to go wild. Look fast, and you might not have noticed, but that's why I pulled out every major hair and makeup moment you might have missed (including the awesome-ness that was the metallic blue lip you see above).
