The most popular word backstage at New York Fashion Week so far has been "individuality." Especially when it comes to hair. Show after show, models have been allowed to walk the runway au naturale, their unique textures and cool cuts untouched by flatiron or curling iron. At DKNY, hairstylist Eugene Souleiman followed suit for the most part, letting curly girls like Imaan Hammam, Alice Metza, and Aya Jones keep their curls, and not fussing with awesome cuts on the likes of Ysaunny Brito and Isabella Emmack. For the models with long, straight-ish hair, however, Souleiman had a few tricks, or styles, up his sleeves, styles that involved making lots and lots of knots.
