We all know how important it is to clean our makeup brushes and tools on a regular basis. We also know that sponges, especially, are havens for bacteria and mold. And a makeup sponge is no different: It's a sponge. Nothing grosses me out more than a kitchen sponge (seriously, those things cannot be making any surface cleaner).
So why am I so willing to swipe a similarly gross (if you think about it) object all over my face? Enter the Earth Therapeutics Precisso Cosmetic Blending Sponge—which is made with medicinal bamboo charcoal to supposedly prevent bacteria and mold from cropping up. It sounded like a potentially life-changing (fine, makeup-changing) product, so I had to try it out.
