Why It Took Almost 12 Hours to Get My Highlights Touched Up

You might remember the last time I got highlights. I don't say this because I think everyone should keep a mental record of my hair-color appointments, because really, that'd be weird. I mention my last round of highlights because I wrote about them on allure.com, and if you read the piece, you know it took a crazy nine hours to complete. The lived-in highlights were supposed to last five to six months, and last they did, but once those six months were up, my hair was in need of fresh coat.
