Seattle Seahawks' wide receiver Ricardo Lockette decided that even though he was recovering from a pretty serious neck injury, he still wanted to help the homeless.
On Nov. 5, Lockette reportedly left the hospital after undergoing surgery. Instead of going home and relaxing, he went to McDonald's, where he bought "100 cheeseburgers." He then handed them out to homeless people on the street, according to TMZ Sports.
"He had a neck brace on while he was passing out the burgers," Lockette's dad, Earl, told TMZ.
The 29-year-old wide receiver sustained ligament damage in his neck after he was hit by Dallas Cowboys safety Jeff Heath on Nov. 1.
After the hit, Lockette laid motionless on the ground for a number of minutes before he was carted off. He will miss the rest of the season.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the Seattle Times that Lockette has a "considerable recovery" ahead of him after the injury. Despite all that, he still sought to help the less fortunate.
